These Belgian frogs were primarily used with FN49, FAL, and M1924, No.4 Mk.II (but also other bayonets). They come in various shades of blue/gray, and many have been Blancoed/painted at some time.
These are very interesting items by themselves if you consider their history. After the Second World War, England donated and sold loads of wartime surplus to Belgium (and other European countries). As weapons evolved and new bayonets were developed, the ABL repurposed older items and this is a perfect example. Some are as-is, factory production. But many are reconstructed from either British or earlier Belgian produced 1937 Pattern frogs. Few of them are identical. They may have various shades of blue, gray, khaki, or green webbing mixed together.
